Slidin' Clyde Roulette Band My Space

Clyde Roulette's roots are in Manitoba but he has also lived in Toronto , Saskatoon , Vancouver and Memphis Tennessee. He is known across Canada as a premier guitar player and has played professionally for the past 38 years. Around Winnipeg he is known as "Slidin Clyde", a name given to him by local bluesman Big Dave McLean. Clyde has been featured on the Rez Bluez Variety Show on the A.P.T.N. Network.
Clyde developed his ability to cross cultural and musical boundaries starting as a blues guitarist and crossing paths with Winnipeg’s finest, forming a trio with harmonica great Gord Kidder and upright bass player Barry Dunford (pre Houndog). He has also performed with local guitar greats Brent Parkin, Colin James and Terry Barnett.
At age seventeen he performed with Willie Mabon who wrote “I Don't Know” which was recorded by The Blues Brothers and James Cotton.

While living in Vancouver he was awarded "Best Blues Guitarist of 1990". He performed with Tom and Jack Lavin, Russell Jackson, Joe Houston, Jim Burns, Frankie Lee, and the list goes on.
While living in Memphis , Clyde played on world famous Beale Street and got a house gig at Willie Mitchell’s Legends, then joined The Bluesmasters. He had house gigs with the Hollywood Allstars, performed with Miss Brown Sugar, Bill “Dr. Thrill Good” Coday, "Bugga Blues" Brown, one of Stax Records’ last biggest artists J. Blackfoot, Big Joe Turner, Little Howling Wolf (son of Howling Wolf), Stacie Marino (opening for Bobby Womack) and many others.
He can play the most moving Delta Blues, the Funkiest Memphis groove, flat pick the Orange Blossom Special, then ride the slide guitar, "all" Clyde Roulette style. He is the driving force behind all of his projects, whether it be television, radio, band leader or session musician. Clyde 's history is one of dedication and hard work and he takes pride in being true to the art form.
